London, Oxford and the Cotswolds
We took a day trip from London to Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford on Avon.
n Oxford, we took a walking tour of the university – what a beautiful place! Although the town was very busy we were able to see many of the old buildings and courtyards.

We had lunch at a pub in the town of Burford in the Cotswolds. This area is well known for the stone buildings and thatched roof cottages along the way. While there we visited the home of Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare’s wife. The gardens and home are now open to visitors.
Next we went to Stratford on Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. This is the home where he was born. Stratford on Avon is now a busy tourist destination with lots of shops and areas for sightseeing.
